GRAND REVEAL of the NEW Cowboy Lineup Photo
5:00pm
Sorrel Sky Gallery ~ 828 Main Avenue
This “Cowboy Lineup” is an iconic image that has been used for many years to promote the Durango Cowboy Gathering. While to image of 22 cowboys (no cowgirls) is beautiful, who is pictured and where it was taken is not precisely known. In 2023, the Durango Cowboy Gathering undertook the ambitious project to re-create this iconic photo at a location in La Plata County. Twenty-eight local cowboys and cowgirls from across La Plata County, representing various interests and family histories, joined us in creating a new image for the Durango Cowboy Gathering and the La Plata County historical record.
Please join us at the Sorrel Sky Gallery for the GRAND REVEAL of the updated “Cowboy Lineup”. The Reveal Party will take place on Friday, September 29th at 5:00 pm. Help us celebrate the creation of a little local history!
The Sorrel Sky Gallery will be hosting a special display of western art throughout the week of the Gathering to celebrate our western heritage.
